What is Cellulite?
Cellulite results from a build up of fat in the adipocytes and the retention of water around the surrounding areas. As the adipocytes grow, the envelopes containing them lose their shape and pull on their anchoring points, giving the skin an 'orange peel' appearance.
At this point, the process becomes self sustaining as a result of a reduction in blood circulation, which causes in turn stagnation of metabolic waste, nutritional impoverishment and congestion of the connective tissue. It can them become unresponsive to physical exercise and slimming diets.
