J Investigation Dermatology 1954:23:181-8

Open pores depends on the skin type:
Normal Skin fine, barely visible pores
Combination skin Visible pores on the nose and cheeks
Oily skin visible pores on the nose/cheeks but more dilated pores
Dehydrated and oily larger pores with hard pimples and blackheads
Dry skin almost invisible pores

Treatment Plan for Open Pores

1. Treating the infection or oily skin
2. Closing the pores
3. Good dietary habit

Treating the Infection

Laser with wavelength of 578 nm helps in eradication of the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes, which is the important, cause of oily and acne prone skin.

Patients can use any laser with the above-mentioned wavelength and the laser used in this clinic is Pro Yellow Laser with a wavelength of 577 nm.

Usually 3 — 5 sessions are needed to eradicate the bacteria with the laser / interval of 2 to 3 weeks in between.

Some patients may also benefit from Micro dermabrasion done preferably by a nurse or doctor.

Closing the Pores Can Be Done By

1.Pro Yellow Laser: The new technology corrects the signs of open pores without causing any changes to the skin surface and also stimulates collagen growth. Shows visible results after three sessions.

2. Erbium Laser Therapy: Our state of the art erbium laser system is the modern way of treating open pores in the face.

The treatment is gentle, effective, painless, and bloodless.

Patients usually need 2 sessions to see good results.
